Specific Question on Two Codes

Specific Question on Two Codes
I'm getting two codes...
P0602 - which is from Smarty and no concern, I believe.
P1693 - Which is the "Companion" Code
My question is this. Is it possible the companion Code showing up because of the other code?
Anyone with a Smarty expirienced this?
I had the P1693 show up shortly after installing the Smarty but it went away... after while.
Last time I had the P1693... it was really a disguised P0216!
Also, The Smarty Scan tool is showing no more than P0602... same as the key trick on my truck?

Scanned today at Autozone.
The companion code... P1693 opened up to read P0206. So all I have is the P0206. I guess SMARTy showed no additional info cause....That's all there was!
NO P0216 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
