Talking Speaker size front door and rear door?

The diesel truck santa is coming with a new stereo (among other things ... can anyone tell me the speaker sizes for front/rear doors on my quad cab? 6.5 or 5.25? Sometimes you can fit both, but one size just fits better....

The front's are 6x9's, and the rears are 5-1/4" I THINK. I'm putting 6.5" back there but I've already "modified" the rear of my cab. Hint, Hint, Ball Peen Hammer (Stupid )

When I put in my new ones I'll probably fab up a plate to mount in there and cover up my previous "customization "

Only did my fronts...6x9 Eclipse 8392's. Happy with sound (added to Panasonic Sirius Radio) Could no longer use and did not need Treble speaker in the A pillar. Found another use for that (see gallery).

I must say - I regret getting the tweeter A-pillar gauge pod now realizing how crappy those things are. Looks like crutchfield says 6.5 but thats because they provide the adapters for free. I'll go with that. Nice deal going on there, $200 HU + 2 $50 sets of speakers, free shipping, free adapters, wiring harness, etc. $50 instant rebate, $20 coupon and $20 mail in rebate. Phew. Total cost: $210. It's on the Kenwood HU's. Coupon code is pbaie-f8ps2-qvicx.

BTW 95MPH in the 1/4th is how fast? high 13s???

Ennded up talking about myself...meant to point out that many higher grade speakers can't use a pillar tweeter due to built in tweeter. Sound like you knew that?

Haha yeah I've been realizing the nicer speakers have the built in tweeters... except the really high end speakers... but I'm not going there.

What does the switch on your tweeter do?

If you get a set of components, you can use the tweeter hole in the a-pillar. Makes for a real clean install. Unlike mine where I let my friend convince me to cut holes in my door panel to install the tweeters.
