solid steel track bar

I installed the solid steel steering stabilizer and adjustable track bar over a year ago. my front end has been getting a little loose so i took it into the shop and i need a four ball joints and the bushing on the track bar. my question is does anyone know if oem bushings will fit on this track bar. I called Solid Steel but their voicemail is full.

Get a Lukes Link for the trac bar, permanent fix.

DSS will do no good without a new steering box.
If you had wander before DSS, the oem box is shot.

I've replaced practically the whole front end a few years ago, new bj, uj, lukes link on everything, dss, new steer box and its as straight as a train now. Zero wander.

make sure your at the right solidsteel website for the number http://www.solidsteel.biz/ other wise if you have the non adjustable track bar it is an 03 track bar. so I dont see why OEM bushings wouldnt fit. I cant beleave there warn. Thats a new one by me.

Ya I guess you can't carry a box of poly ball and sockets to replace when you have the 03 TBK...Terrible isn't it??? I haven't had any problems yet and it fits OVER A MAG Pan...

Same here - It's been three yrs and 100,000 miles, so far! Checked my 03 track bar bushing this past weekend and it's in great shape.... but my front end is tight!
Don't know what the SS adjustables use for a bushing?? Probably would have bgt one of them, but they were not on the market when I upgraded mine.

I think the SS bars are supposed to be a poly bushing, so its supposed to be better material than the OEM.. Dunno..

Why would you need to carry a box of "poly ball and sockets" to replace a worn bushing in a 3rd gen track bar? You're not even making sense.

If you're referring to my track bar, I wouldn't know. Over 50K miles, many of them high speed off road miles, and I haven't even had to tighten the spherical bearing, let alone replace it. But when I do, I can rebuild the joint for about $20, without taking it off the truck.

And if I chose to run a MAG pan, mine clears.....

If it soothes your offended sensitivities, Don's track bar won't clear the diff on stock ride height 2001+ 2nd gens. Don has referred many of these folks to Darin......
