So, was this stupid??

On my way home from the toy store last night. Rode down through town a couple times. Found a rice eatin mitsubishi and he rode along side of me. I goosed it, nothing from him. Again? Nothing, so I hammered down and blew fuel in his window. It turned out to be a pretty boring cruise. So on the way home I turned down this old country road, straight as a pin. I stopped and put it in 4 HI, did the tricky foot thing and built 10psi of boost and let off the brake and mashed the go pedal. Wow, it went quick but I got halfway down the road and smelled......well, my clutch. So, was this completely stupid or what?

I can see how an auto would be great for this, how do you guys do it with the manual? Do you completly let the clutch out? Seems like it would stall that way. It only took a few seconds to build the boost, maybe 15'ish seconds if that much. Well, decided I won't do that again anyhow.....have to wait until my wife gets that 2500 quad cab with the auto

Once you build a little boost, and get rolling, get off that clutch. You can only slip it a little, before it cooks.

Yeah I enjoy tearing vehicles up as well, but only as long as their not mine.

I prefer catching up with people with their window down, staying right next to them for a few seconds and then letting my straight exhaust take care of the rest.

I've seen all kinds of facial expressions.I seen the frown, the ****** off look, the freaked out look. Also the <edit>bwahaha.

That goes with laying on the jakes next to em as well.
