So here's a newbie question...

...will a Cummins run without a turbo?? Being a firm believer in Private Murphy, I was thinkin if you're out in the middle of nowhere and you're turbo goes belly up (in a manner that doesn't trash anything else, of course), can you run without a functional turbo? I figure you'd have to git at least the compressor blades out of there, or would you?

Just something that hit me a moment ago and I know it will bother me (even though I unfortunately won't have the opportunity to actually be out in the middle of nowhere cuz of where I'm stationed )

I drove mine 1/2 mile on manifold only. It was extreamly loud. You would be suprised how much the turbo muffles the sound.

I was wanting to make the dyno day earlier this year but the twins were only 2 months old. Got next years on the calinder tho. Need to talk Poole into hosting one at his new shop we have a membership at a campground about 10 miles from there.
