Smarty or injectors?

Any opinions on this? 2001 HO, Stock (except the missing muffler). The Smarty is interesting to me because of what it's supposed to do for drivability/throttle response. But is it any good with the stock sticks in there? Or am I better off upgrading injectors first?

Good question.

I'm going to have to say BOTH. No, really, get the Smarty first, it does things that an injector just won't (boost fool, changed fueling parameters, etc.)

It will be just fine with the stockers.

It is awesome with the stock sticks
I ran mine with stock sticks until I bought my injectors. Can't recommend it enough. I would get the Smarty first, then injectors (then clutch, bigger turbo, bigger sticks, headgasket work......)

Yep do the Smarty first......it has so many different toys in that sucker to play with!! Injectors are nice, but they don't have any adjustibility.

I vote Smarty also. I had mine with stock injectors for about 6 months and it was a great improvement.

+1 on the smarty. Good investment. Just make sure your TV cable is properly adjusted - then rock n roll

I got my injectors 1st but didnt know about the smarty then. I would go smarty first. Made a bigger difference than the 275's by themselves.

Another 6 speed owner with stock fueling recently dyno'd after adding the smarty and came in at 295 hp. Try the smarty then if you want more look for injectors.

WOW!!! That seems way out of the norm for a stock+smarty setup. When I was stock with just an EZ I put down 260-265 at the wheels. I think most people report that bone stock you'd be in the 190-200 range. If that's the case, Smarty put on nearly 100hp....

I'd vote for Smarty though... I have one and I have injectors

Oops, looks like I gave him 4 bonus hp

At this point I'm thinking the ETH's might respond better to smarty =P

I got my sticks first and love them, but the Smarty really woke the beast up. I'd say get the smarty first. then sticks or another box if you want more.

Gotta be the fact of the ETH. The 2 different dyno numbers in my sig are #1 - straight piped 3" + 275's. Only change on the #3 - straight piped 4" + Smarty#9.
