Smarty and Boost Elbow

I plan to buy a smarty soon and was wondering if I should get a boost elbow also. If so, what will happen if I remove the smarty and run my truck at the stock level with the boost elbow? Will I see an overboost code?

Bob will include a boost elbow with a smarty purchase and you can run it even if the software is removed to stock. Yes its possible to throw overboost codes with the stock software but I wouldn't worry about them.

Okay. I thought an overboost code would cause the truck to go into limp mode or something. Thanks.
