Ya I ordered from Rod too and it came in two separate boxes.Didn't make no sense to me.Why not put filter inside the scotty II and send together. It just cost me more shipping and waiting time and it was a used filter he sent me to boot still waiting for the new one.Well Christmas is coming.........

Probably because it is cheaper to have the filter manufacturer drop ship on to you, instead of him ordering one in to hime, then shipping it right put the door to you.

If you're still dooubtful, call Rod and ask him. I'm sure he'll give you an answer.

Oh, guess I missed the used part, sorry

A friend of mine also got his filter housing about 3 weeks before he got the filter, Rod said that he had drop shipped the filter direct from Uni filters, and that they were backordered.

Just throwing out possible answers

Hey Guys,

We do indeed get UNI to drop ship filters for us, as its less expensive than importing the filters into Canada, and then shipping back down to the US. Don't worry, you're not being dinged any extra shipping as I eat the drop ship costs. However, with drop ships, we don't have any way of knowing whether you have received your filter or not, so if your filter doesn't arrive about the same time as the air unit, don't hesitate to get on the phone and let me know so I can track it down. I don't want to see anyone sitting without product and will be more than happy to track this kind of thing down for you.

As for the used filter, we did that with a couple customers who got caught in the switch between aFe and UNI. We were no longer purchasing aFe filters, however UNI hadn't gotten the foam filters ready when promised, so we had a couple customers sitting without filters. We cleaned up a couple used filters and sent them free of charge so they would have something to use while they were waiting on the UNI. Again, if the UNI filter hasn't shown its face, please let me know so the situation can be resolved.

I knew you'd chime in here sometime Rod!

Chris

BTW, If I ever get enough pennies saved up, I'll be calling you with some questions about turbo's. My Scotty doesn't work good enough for me
