Gear Poet,

It doesn't matter whose dual disk you go with. All duals are going to be harder on your synchros because of the load.

No your best bet is to stay with a single disk if your just towing and driving around town. SBC has single disk's that can handle up to 650HP(Con FEW) I think? And surely your not towing with THAT much HP! So they will have a single disk with better driving characteristics than a dual disk. Also easier on the syncro's

I've got a 13" Fe in front of my 5spd in my truck and it's a good clutch.

One thing you have to be ready for is it's either all in or all out. There is no slipping it to make backing or taking off in 2nd easier. It's not bad once you learn to drive it, but it does take some getting used to. Mine will shift pretty quick, and the more HP you put to it the better it shifts.

Like someone said above if you want a DD in a 5spd you gotta put down the almost $900 for the big input shaft on top of the $1300 for the clutch so it's not a cheap BOMB.

If you don't want to use the truck for Truck Pulls I'd go with the 13" Fe if you think you want to pull go with the DD.

Hey D. show me where I can get a Dual Disk for $1300 and I'll take one man! SBC is $1750 I believe, EEP is $1700, & Haisley Machine is like $1800 I think?

Wow! Didn't know they where that kind of $$$$$$.
