I'd lay my cash on you, just don't spin the tires to much get a clean start or it may get you.

I think you will win, but there is only 1 way to find out. If you lose, just throw in a set of sticks and challenge him to a rematch

launch if 4wd with some boost and it won't even be close... you have more power, a better transmission and a lighter truck...

i'm not sure but the megacabs are like 24ft long so they really dont have to race much cause they get to the finish before they start

You will easily smoke him. My 98.5 3500 5 spd easily lays a beating on my buddy's 05 325/610 quad cab auto - and that is without the RV 275's. The Comp does wonders!

Maybe close for the first 100 yds, unless you launch in 4x4. After that... or starting out around 40 mph... No contest! You win easily! Probably 4+ lengths ahead in a 1/4 mile.

Depends on which section you post in.. The more honest and knowledgable folks here will say you'll spank him.

Post in the nansy-pansy-whaah-whaah-we-don't-like-engines-that-rattle-whoopee-my-rear-doors-open-forward 3rd gen area, and they'll tell you that your friend would win

Win? You'll slaughter the poor fool. Go out there and have fun beating up on your friends brand new truck.

I wouldnt exactly say you would slaughter him, but i do feel you wont have any trouble with him. I have driven a few new CTD'a, and they run pretty good, but I know my truck will get one decent, and the 99 with the comp box on it that i raced was dead even or maybe just a hint slower than mine, so im sure you will beat him. The 99 also had a stock tranny so you have a big advantage there.
