Question: Aftermarket tire size on a dually
The stock tires absolutely stink. On my prior CTD I had BFG All Terrains, and there would be four holes up to the axle if you couldn't pull something out (i.e. pulling out stumps). With the new CTD tires, they just spin on top of the ground...just 4 little spots without any grass.

With that out of the way, I'm looking at the BFG All Terrains once again for the dually. But curious what they will look like on a dually (good or bad?). AND, what size should I get? Is the biggest tire a 235/85 (for all six tires), or can you get something larger? I remember hearing something about anything bigger rubbing (the dual tires rubbing).

Any thoughts or suggestions? Any tires anyone suggests that are good for all terrain yet quieter on the highway? Prices? Good deals at any tire supply place?

Willyslover: How do you like the Michelin XPS tires? Are they loud on the road? Good in off road conditions?

GearPoet: I can't seem to find any 255/85 All Terrain tires. Which ones were you able to find? Good in off road conditions?

I'm running the re-designed Firestones -- they're cheap, well-constructed, and do great in the dirt and on the highway under load. No complaints -- Firestone overhauled them to re-establish "credibility".

GP
