pump question

ok i took 4 screws off. 3 hex head and one flat head. then there was a rubber gasket and a big rubbe washer with a rod. and there was a spring on this rod too. then when i too kthat all out there was a gear with teeth. i turned the wheel 4 clicks clockwise. did this accomplish anything. and also can i turn it anymore or did i go the wrong way?

You softened the load on the fuel pin/afc. This will allow for quicker fueling. Many guys bottom it, just a personal preferance. BOMBING.

Go ahead and turn clockwise it until you think it smokes too much then back off a bit. 4 clicks is nothing, you gotta go by turns to have any real effect. Also while you're in there, make sure the deepest part of the pin is facing forward when you put it back together. This gives you maximum fuel while under boost.

Reading back over your first post I see why you are confused. the "rod" you're talking about is the AFC pin.

The taper on the pin is off center, just figure out which side of the taper is the deepest, then drop the pin in so that the deep side faces the front. It'll make sense when you take it apart and have it in your hands.

That depends on how much smoke you think you can get away with. Like I said, run it down until you think it's too smoky (go about 2 turns at a time), then back it off to where it's not so bad.
