A 4" downpipe and exhaust will make a big difference. A HTT or ATS exhaust manifold will also help. Water methanol is also a good way to go but that only works until you run out of water.

Go ahead and do the 4in. but far as the turbo goes I think you will be OK. If you are thinking about water methanol I would stick to strait water or washer fluid. I’m not convinced that the ats or the htt manifolds do anything if the head is not ported and polished.

Don't waste your money on the housing or the manifold. An exhaust will be the best bet but still nothing major. You have a decent amount of fuel and will pull it fine but you will have to watch that pyro. Only safe bet would be to get a bigger turbo.

Advance the timing to 16* or so. It should be plenty manageable, just watch the pyro.

Oh I agree it will pull it no problems but he will have to watch the pyro. I was meaning out of any upgrade the turbo would be the best bet.

Well if your looking to do an exhaust and want to keep your turbo, a megamouth downpipe from the dtr store should make a bigger difference in egt

I agree with this..

Also dont forget to time the truck as well 16-17 degrees will work great, better fuel mileage, slightly cooler EGTS, and a more effecient powerband for ur GSK... The turbo will be the best way to go, but a megamouth downpipe can be a good temp fix for high EGTS, better than a five inch exhaust with a stock mouth...
