PSC question

Where can i get a PSC box from with no core charge?

I'm keeping my original for rebuilding incase I need PSC to do warrany work to their box anytime and to just have a spare box. So for that reason, I dont see a reason to pay the $100 core charge if I were to buy directly from PSC...

any ideas would be great

thanks

nick

I'd have to diagree, I've got one with 29K miles and no issues, and have installed a few with zero problems.

Not sure your going to find one without the $100 core, unless you can find a used box really cheap.

Be carefull of PSC, I was going to buy one for my Jeep but after doing some research I found that they are having quality issues big time! Lots of guys in the 4X4 community have bought these boxs and are having a lot of troubles with them wearing out after 6 months.

see, now i dont really know what to think. Some guys love theirs and rave about them all day. Some guys hate theirs and have had issues. My only other options are to rebuild my junk box, buy a reman piece of junk, or get something like an AGR which i hear are super junky. So i mean, im kind of out of options cause i'm not putting a reman box in cause theyre super junk, especially when turning 37 inch tires

Read the whole thread, then go poke around on pirate4X4.

Sounds like rebuilding it yourself maybe the best option....

No problems with mine. I have had it for about a year and have around 25000-30000 miles on it.
I really enjoy the quicker steering.

yeah...theres no way i'm gonna drive daily on a rebuilt box, theyre so crappy. The ratio's on the PSCs are supposed to be awesome, the stock boxes are sloppy and 4turns is too much. I'm pretty set on going the PSC route, i just need to find somewhere that doesnt do the core

Your not going to get past the core charge now. At one point in time you would have. My 98 box I didn't need a core. For the 93, they were going to charge a core, but I have 3 for that year model laying around.

But hey, someone may have one on the shelf somewhere.
