Talking power combo

i got few ?s today i saw a 2000 ctd that wasnt stock start off from a stop light start rolling then hit 2nd gear and just started burning the tires off at around 25 30 mph and rolling black somke now i want to be able to do that is that possable with the 47 trannies? for perfromance upgardes iam looking at the edge juice hot with mach 2 sticks and dtt valvebody and a t/cnow as far as turbo i have no idea because i tow 8,000pounds all the time so i dont know what turbo to run?but any ways can yall give me some advice as far as what hp and trq i would be making and also will i be able to burn tires off at 30 mph??? thanks in advance!!

and also i will be geting a full fass set up would i want to go with the 95 gph pump or the higher one i cant remember what the gph is on the other on what do yall think???

You'll more than likely need the 150gph. And I would get a rebuild kit along with the T/C and valvebody.

i dont know what it would take to get a SRW to smoke the tires, but on my dually with the 1500 lbs bed it takes quite a bit

Now, for your truck, i would stick some mach 4's with a tst pm3 comp and a smarty stack. With a sps 64. With the necessary tranny upgrades of course...

This'll smoke your tires, but might not be the best to tow with, however it would be very possible.

Your looking at about 7-8k for all this stuff. (depending on how bulletproof you make your trans )

Mine will break my 35's loose when I hit 2nd gear but won't burn 'em. My 1-2 shift is set very firm and I love it. I'd go with TST pm3 comp., M1.6's (so you can still tow), Smarty, and sps 62 or htb2. I know a guy with a similar set-up and he runs low to mid 13's at the track and tows a 15K trailer. Best of both worlds.

Oh yeah, I'd also get a DTT tranny!!!

i second the DTT. only tranny i would go with is either a DTT or a tranny from Dave ....... Georand or DTT is the way to go
