Its anybodies guess, some people say no, however Floor It had just an EZ and 275's and we slipped his clutch empty.....when we were in Vegas. It did a nice job of pulling my truck to Vegas tho, total weight was 20,300lbs ran 70 to 80 mph on the way out.

ETH's respond very well to a simple injector upgrade, you'll get 50 to 60hp from the 275's.

Battering Ram, I think you just gave me the answer -- With the RV275's, I need to hook up the pump wire on my Edge Pulse in order to get the fuel, right? Which means a new clutch and kiss any warranty hopes on a five-month-old truck goodbye. Got some thinking to do.

On slipping the clutch with a box and the 275's -- I've had no problems with the stock clutch on my NV5600. But there are production variations apparently, and I've heard maybe 5-10% of people who have this set-up have had clutch problems.

GP
Re:Piers HX40 on a lightly-bombed '02???
GP,
Installing the HX40 to your truck now will decrase performance. Since you got the deal of the century on that turbo hold on to it untill you are ready. After you tap the wire you will want more power anyway and after a new clutch you will have no exuse not too go for it. I really do think this is a disease. If I was you I would at least wait untill you tap the wire and upgrade the clutch. If you dont have enough power to slip the stock clutch you dont have enough power to push that turbo. Remember you will be able to run much larger injectors with the HX40 so I see a set of Stage 2 or larger in your future.

GP its only an hour tops to swap the turbo so why not try it, see if it works no harm in trying the thing if you don't like the way it works take it off!

When going to the HX40 from the HX35 you have to change downpipes due to the outlet change, just as a heads up to anyone that may not know.

Got the downpipe with the HX40, but it would require some mods on my present exhaust system. So it's a bit more than swapping in-swapping out. I'm thinking I'll hold on to the turbo for a year and then go with DD2's & an SBC -- but just saying that probably means I'll go for it tomorrow. :
