I have a 01 quad cab, long bed. It has an overhead light console that contains two reading lights, a sunglasses case, and a garage door opener receptacle.
One of the reading light switches need replaced but I can't see how to remove this console to get at it. Can anyone help?

Open either the sunglass or garage door opener panel and you'll see two tabs. Push those two tabs in and pull down and back as hard as you can. When you think your about to break it it will pop loose.

 

once you remove the light switch you can see where it has cracked open a little not allowing the switch to work. easy fix is to weld the plastic pieces back together with a soldering iron or a screwdriver that you heated up with a lighter. I had to do this to my drivers switch so I welded both switches to be safe.
