New wheels, backspacing question.

I'm planning on 17x9 Eagle 187's, which have a 5" backspace and +2mm offset. What results should I see on my 99 2WD with 285's?

If someone has a better suggestion, please say!

They'll stick out about an inch, inch 1/2 further than your current ones.

Okay, I got new tires on, Nitto Terra Grappler 285-75-16, but left the stock steel wheels, which are 16x6.5, 4.75" backspace.

If I change the current wheel to a 16x8 wheel with 4.5" to 5.0" backspace, will I see much of the tire protruding from the fender? The truck is a 2WD, so I'd like to keep the tires inside, if I can.
