New Software

I got a new program in my truck today a 1999 QC LWB 4x4 24 valve and I fricking love it. Instead of going with a Box or Computer. I got lucky and have a guy that worked for Cummins Research and Development Department for 12 years in my town. I let him play with my truck for a couple hours saturday and he turned my pump up played with the software that has to with my tranny and played with my Injection pump end up with 83HP/167TQ not bad numbers i thought for $200 dollars if anybody in the Indiana area is interested I can get you his number it makes a huge difference for the punch He also added my stock tranny could handle it and the FP and IP should be fine for another 30,000 miles or so even with this I will swear by this man now he worked wonders on my truck.

I would keep a low profile about this. Sounds like, maybe, what Mark Chappel (TST) was doing before Cummins shut him down with the threat of a law suite.
I'm glad it works well for you.... and, it goes without saying, keep the dealership away from you ECM/PCM.

Is this Chris Ogle or Jim Jessip's program?

PS: Jim Jessip is the man that designed the Cummins B, he know his stuff. I wish he would come up with a smarty type of box.

I live in kokomo, IN area need some help too with my next option dont have gauges or transmission work. I want 5" inch straight exhaust where can I find that then how much can my stock tranny take before it says no more power? If I upgrade the valve body can I add injectors to the mix. If not do I need to try and get a Torque converter? I mean which can I build more power for the cost with Torque converter or Valvebody upgraqde and the most bang for my buck. I mean can I build 400 HP with a valve body upgrade or a torque converter would be a better decision. I want maybe like 125HP injectors added with my software a FASS fuel system if its necessary or maybe a lift pump which is better. A scotty II and 5" all the way out back with torque or VB who wants to tell me what to do?

First of all I should say...you should join our chapter! the more people the better.

Anyway, I would worry about getting guages first....especially a fuel pressure guage.
I am no expert on auto trannys. I dont even like them. So maybe someone else will chime in with some advice on that.
As far as you fuel system goes...I would get injectors and just keep that lift pump and an eye on your fuel pressure you should be ok then.
You already have some electronic performance...injectors should make it that much better.

And you exhaust...well a 5" straight pipe will sound awesome...trust me. You can probably get the pipes off of ebay as a kit for your truck...or if you know someone then you could make you own exhaust.

Well how do I get into joining the chapter. I do not know much bout it or anything. I really would like to get into pulling, but Im a college student and 50 hours a week worker who doesnt make that much to begin with so its hard. I would like to find a 94 95 regular cab manual to turn into a puller, maybe we should do a chapter truck if enough people would be into it.
