Question need some help with pump adjustments

well heres the deal, since i put in my gsk my truck has always been alittle jumpy and in neutral if i touch the petal it wants to go up to 2500rpm but not much inbetween. so today i was doing a few other things: pulled my lazer cut dvs and put the stock ones back in: put in a different plate and adjusted the gov arm, adjusted the boost screw and the starwheel. I figured that my gsk springs were alittle to tight so i backed them off one click, fired the truck up and it idled alittle high but as soon as i touched the petal the motor started to run away. so next i tightened the springs 2 clicks and same thing. put them back to where the were and still the same thing. im kina at a loss for the moment. i dont know if i adjusted the gov arm wrong or if one of my stock dvs is sticking.
any Ideas?

Well i think i fiqued out what i did wrong but now i need to find out how to fix it. when i was tying to adjust the gov arm the screw didnt seem to be doing much so i put it back where i thought it was. But i was just looking at directons from the piers web site and i was tinkering with the wrong screw. can anyone give me some insight as to what the upper screw does back there so i might be able to fix it.

well i turned the screw back the other way a bit and it seems to run smother now than it did before so i think i will call it good. But man does tuning the afc housing make a big difference on the lowend smoke. Not so much of a enviornmental disaster anymore. probally helped pulling out the lazer cuts too. I will put them back in if i ever put twins on but untill then there just wasted fuel and high egts.
