With the housing off, you can put it in a drill press and drill through the existing wastegate hole and through the center divider. Now, when the gate opens, all 6 cylinders 'see' the gate, allowing more exhaust flow without increased boost. Some have taken this a step further and milled the center divider out almost completely.

I'm gonna give this a shot tomorrow. With your current setup, a massaged 12cm housing with an upgraded compressor side would make for a fun truck, for sure!
Sounds great!! Take Pics for us and let us know how it goes!!

How does one mod the compressor side of a HX35 stock turbo ??

I may not get to it 'till Tuesday, as it's only 3 degrees here this AM! I'll try some before and after shots when I do it, though.

As for the compressor side, talk to Paul at HTT (or other vendors, if you like). For a couple hundred bucks you can upgrade to a larger pinwheel and housing. There are no free modifications to be done on the compressor side. Tolerances are too tight to 'eyeball' anything.

You should be able to buy it anywhere that sells marine parts. If there's nothing local then try on an online source like Fisheries Supply. The only problem with online versus a local purchase is you might end having to buy a 6' or 10' stick of the hose minimum.

PS this hose can replace your upper intercooler boots too. Burst pressure for 3" I think was about 275 psi.

1) my cost on the filter through work is about $45, I would think it would be comperable in price to the K&N cone filter probably reatiling somewhere around $60 - $80

2) hose maybe $6 - $10 bucks a foot for either hose

3) battery boxes can really vary in price. Avg. up here for a plain ol' box group 27 box is about $12 - $20, ofcourse everything up here usually costs close to double of what it costs down below.
