Did the same thing and had to have a South Bend installed. No more issues.

I got a 400hp clutch from southbend. Don't really need the 400hp but all the local joint had in stock. Have to say not the greatest clutch for backing up trailers and chatters a bit when taking off in 2nd gear unless you just drop your foot off the pedal and has done this since day one. Maybe it just needs more hp

Valair's got a single disc that's rated to 600/1100 for $500 but ceramic will be grabby. I'd guess it'd "hold" the numbers you are wanting. More than that and it's $ time with a dual disc.

BTW I'd suggest getting a boost elbow. Having the wastegate disabled is a bad thing. It's a safety device, and closing off the WG completely makes choke point more of an issue. You might actually lose power choking it off. The boost numbers can be really misleading due to choke at the exhaust fan.

Or just unbolt and rotate the WG actuator.

Hydraulics are recommended, but not required. My 3250 honestly has the same pedal effort as stock, so I can't see much extra stress on the system.

Question, do you need to upgrade from the stock flywheel for the 3250?

Most of the SB kits come with a new flywheel..The price difference of the new flywheel thats comes with the kit and refacing the old one..It works out best to buy the clutch/flywheel kit...

The dual disc clutch uses a different flywheel than stock. It is machined to accept the floater plate. Standard flywheel goes into the spare parts area.

I may be mistaken about rotating the WG. Sounds like the boost elbow is a better way to go. Limited amount of adjustment.

As to holding power my Valair "stock organic" friction clutch with hub update (the part that gave out on my stock rated clutch) is holding mine with no slip. I'm guessing I'm somewhere near or slightly over 400hp at the flywheel. 100hp injectors, 65hp timing chip boost fooler exh int etc.

The only difference between the Valiar's is the disc, so if you did need more holding power and don't mind yanking the trans again a simple disc change would hold more.

Actually if your pressure plate is in good shape, the stock clamp force on the 13" clutch is about the same as the Valair, so you *could* just get the disc you want and save a few sheckles. Mine looked so nice when I pulled it the only reason I threw it away was the "LUK" stamped on it.

The Valair plates are 3400# I *think* stock is 3200#
