Retorque Procedures

This may sound like a dumb question but I don't know the answer. I put an O-ringed head on with ARP studs last month. Torqued as prescribed ran the truck then torqued the studs hot. I then "checked the torque" the next weekend, nothing had moved.

My question is what is the procedure for retorquing a head? Do you break the torque one nut at a time or do like I did the week after and just put a torque wrench on the bolts and make sure they are still tight? If you do break the torque would it hurt to add some more ARP lube to nuts?
