More timing = more hp???

well im trying to get a few more ponies out of my motor and was wondering if advancing my timing from 16.5 to 18 would bump the hp a little, i need to play with the afc a little more too but right now i think im a little over 445hp at the wheels since i last mest with the afc i would like to reach 500 or a little higher, what else can i do? thanks im going to do another post about my boost too, please check it out. thanks

New Era recommends 16.5* for the 435s. They say thats the sweet spot for them.

It may increase HP in the sense that it moves the power band up in RPM, and for a given amount of tq, more rpm=more hp.

There's generally a loss of bottom end tq, but nothing severe.
