Is the wire taped on the comp, if so you'll need more air before you'll need more fuel.

Question

Charlie 8301. I see you have a Super Phat Shaft 62How do you like your phat shaft? What is the difference between the phat shaft 62 and the super phat shaft 62. Does your 62 spool as good as your old hx 35? Thanks..

I'm happy with the SPS62. It spools amost as well as the hx35, has good manners but still gets a little warm on the top end with my setup. As far as the difference between the PS62 and the SPS62 it's in the turbine side of the turbo. I "think" the SPS62 has been milled out to accept the same turbine as the PS66, allowing it to flow better on the exhaust side, but still having quick spool-up.

Time to choose: spool or cool? 62 for spool or 64 for cool =P

From what I understand the super phatshafts pull harder at the top end while the regular phat shafts with the smaller turbine wheels would spool faster.

Which one is more worth spending $2400.00 on for my application, the sps 62 or 64. Does the 64 spool fast?

I think the 64 is the best turbo, but it had a wierd surging issue on my truck, so I had to go back to a SPS62. Both turbos can be had for $17-1800. As far as spool-up the 64 is just about as quick as the 62. II also has a new turbo out called the silver bullet, it supose to cool like a 66 but doesn't have the bad manners the 66 has.

Thats way too much $$ for a PS turbo.... We are a Phat Shaft dealer please give us a call and we will be happy to explain the differences between the turbos so that you end up with the best product for your truck. We can also save you some cash as well.
