There was someone that found out that lowering the rear was simply a matter of getting a pair of shorter blocks, that are a stock item on a certain year/body, etc. I don't remember the details.

Lowering the front on a 4X4 is difficult due to the straight front axle.
That's why most every 'slammed' truck you see is a rear-wheel-drive.

The best and easy way would be to sell me your 4WD and buy my 2WD!!!! While I am trying to lift a 2WD a little he wants to lower a 4X4. What is wrong with us?????

i need the 4wd part just not so high. the only offroad it ever see's is towing the trailer on the sand and the snowboard trips to the mountian. also yours is a 99.

Unless yours has independent front suspension, you're going to have the same issues.

Yes mine does have A-arms. I guess I am just gonna sell mine and get a 4X4!! There is a 4X4 that looks like it should not have been on the road and it has been parked in town for about a week without moving. The body looks awful but all I want is the frame and suspension. We will give it a shot!!!!! Without looking at the sticker you would not know it was a 99. The previous owner took very good care of it and only drove it three or four times a month.
