Exclamation is the lift pump going?

at start up my guage shoots to 15 for 3 seconds then dropes to around 2 at idle, then pegs at zero when i get on it, the lift pump is not much older than a year or two. every now and then it runs normal at around 14 but recently it just stays low. we have checked all the lines and fitings around the engine but not around the tank. also i have checked my guage and its accurate, any guesses?
thanks!

Same thing happened to me I would say bye-bye to little ole LP and start looking for a different alternative it's like shoveling you no what against the tide!!
Good luck there is a lot of good options out there.

Mine would drop from 14 to like 8 then go back up to 14 when I punched it, then drop again later. A warrenty replacement solved the issue, until I permanently solved the issue later =P

Last week I was watching my FP drop. Put in the FASS 95 with out the pre-filter. That's all my budget allowed. Man.....I'm happy! It's 16 at idle and WOT it barely drops below 14. Before, I watched it drop to 2. Ditch that OEM LP.

I would look into a MITUSA mechanical pump. I'm very happy with mine, you won't have to keep one eye on the gauge at all times. It holds 17 psi at idle and makes more pressure as the rpms increase
