Hey Horace, is this your next setup?

Looks like a 6" inlet on that big turbo. 8)

Re:Just a Tease...

That is a monster. Speak'n of twins. What would yall recommend for twins on a PSD?

(I didnt feel like making a thread just for that in the ford section plus this gets more response since people dont look over at ford section.)

Re:Just a Tease...

Horace,

Any updates that you have noticed in the past couple of days over your old system? What kid of boost do you see going down the highway? How about EGT's?

Re:Just a Tease...

Nothing new yet... I still havnt played with the wastegate yet but that is just because I havn't had time. It's pulling 70psi consistantly at WOT. This week has been the first week with the outside temps below the 90's. The EGT's have been a little less because of the temps and I have started to notice how scary fast the truck is on the top end. Everything is holding together good...

Re:Just a Tease...

Horace,

I remember you said that you were going to change the springs on that setup, what did that gain you? You never really said if you gain boost, or... ???

Also, how closed up do you have those things? 70 psi from a set like THAT? :P

Re:Just a Tease...

Andrew,, he said something about not wanting to build up pressure for fear of busting a nut. Something like that. I guess that much boost can get exciting.

Andrew, I did add a stiffer spring which I have not adjusted yet... right now it is blowing open at 70psi which gained me 10psi. I will adjust it at some time for closer to 80psi.

Yes I did say that I didn't want to go to far and put a head stud nut through the hood.... and yes it gets exciting.

Re:Just a Tease...

How big is your wallet?

Imagine easily spooling an HX-60,,, as the small turbo.
