LOL

just had to share that with u fellas. After what i had put the thing thru, im surprised that it held for as long as it did..

I had started another post in the 12V forum on a leaking thermostat housing, well aside from that leaking, and removal of the alternator i see that my leak was also stemming right below the T stat housing where the HG is at.. (insert your favorite colorful word here....) I guess its time i stop dinkin around and put some ARP's and a 10 over gasket..

WOW, i see a "popped head gasket" thread almost every day! now a head gasket popped on our truck just where it did on your truck, but never started a thread about it... What causes it to pop outsiede anyway? what Boost pressure where you running?

We where running 42 psi max out of the Htb2 64

we replaced it by a HG that costed us $60 from FP diesel it has worked great so far and use the truck hard and a lot!

my question what gasket do you guys put in? cause you all worry so much about it!

Mine popped probably

at 40-50 psi, but it had been a long time comin, i have dynoed, raced, pulled, and hauled heavy loads with it, so i cannot complain, it did well, i started another thread on what HG to buy, i wanna do this once and do it right..

That sucks Rick

For some reason or another, the one on the old 95 is still hangin' in there...ran at 48psi with the stocker, then 38psi with the B1, 63psi with the BD Twins, and maxed at 76psi with the HX40/B2 twins, then I turned it down to 60psi and ran it, and now it's holding 45psi with the S300 All this over the course of 130K miles and 2.5 years on stock bolts and gasket with 330K miles! That thing won't die

Hop you get it fixed up quick!

Nope! Never touched them. I would run it hard, then get out at stop signs and check it for leaks...I was so sure I'd pop it
