Injectors

Wanna get a new set of injectors....currently running stock. I am getting a new tranny, and turbo in may, so i need too start shopping around now. Which ones should i try??

FYI I want something that will give me a good bunch of power and smoke....but if i dont have my foot buried in the coal will still give me a half decent fuel mileage.

Thanks,
Jon.

You can't beat EDM's from F1 Diesel, available from Wildcat or somebody... I think most people here would recommend getting the turbo and tranny first.

Agree on both points!
With an Edge Comp you are already pushing your stock tranny as far as you can safely go....and then only on lower settings. Any more power could cost you more when you do your tranny...if it makes it to May.
F1's Mach 2's or 3's are the only ones I would consider...when the time comes.

Okay, here's my experience--Added Don M's mach 1.5's to my setup. Promptly went out & blew the HX 40 turbo to pcs because I was too busy hanging on to the steering wheel to watch the boost gauge (awesome injectors Don!)--somewhere around 48lbs of boost she went bang. Completely my fault. Talked with Rip Rook and decided on a wastegated Dodgezilla turbo. Engine response is awesome, but egt's are out of control--3 to 4 seconds on the throttle and it shoots right past 1500 deg. After talking to Rip, decided to replace the banks level 5 module (160hp-320tq) with a level 3 module (100hp & 200tq). Truck now works great with egt's hitting 1300 max. My elevation is 3900ft, which seems to make a huge difference. Hope this helps ya.

I think you may just have the wrong turbo?... Either that or you don't have enough timing with that "module"..

MHO of course..

Lil Dog,

I definately need more turbo, just don't want to live with the lag on the bottom end. After talking with Rip, we decided that twins were the best option when running the level 5 box, so I'm saving pennies as we speak--*g*

Not to take away from Rip, but Piers is only over the mountains from ya and above the 49th.. Shipping or response is 1 day, no boarder issues.

Depends on whose Stage 2's you have and what your dynoing at but I think you would run high EGt's with a KSB-1-2 after you pierce the wire. Even at 2000' you'll be toasty over 400 hp!
Piers will know.
