i have the infinity system in my truck, Kinda!! lol, i have a new kenwood head unit and all new infinity door speakers but i blew the amps that were mounted to the stock 6x9's, can i just eliminate the amps?, and have the amp in the headunit power the speakers w/out rewiring the whole truck, i know why i blew the amps, the stock infinity head unit was only preamp so i over powered the infinitys amp with the amp in the head unit, any solutions?

I believe you should be able to. I just got done rewiring 4 brand new speakers though.

 

My friends 01 has the infinity system in it with the amp mounted to the 6x9's in the doors. He just by-passed the amp by tracing the wires that went in the speaker mounted amp and then out to the other speakers and butt connected them together. there should be 10 wires going in to each amp. 2 for that door speaker 4 for the tweeter in the pillar and 4 for the rear door speaker. Hopes that helps.
