How to slow down idle?

How to slow down idle?
Just finished installing my 3k gsk and I got everthing in and started up the truck and the idle is runnin about 900 - 1000 
. I tried to adjust the idle but it would only speed up. Am I gonna have to go back and re-tighten the gov. springs or is there an easier way???Any body got any ideas... other than that Im retarded
