If you have done much tweaking and turning of the fuel screw, you may be close to a run away condition. BE CAREFUL!

Try a little oil on your linkages, pedal, and cables. Check return springs.

Is this truck new to you or have you had it a while?

If you have had the truck a while and this is a new problem, I suspect something is binding in the throttle linkage. Probably the bellcrank between the accelerator cable and the throttle rod.

If this truck is new to you , the fuel screw is located on the back of the pump, just above the shutoff solenoid (the thing with 2 wires on it). If it has not been messed with (tamper proof cap on it), the problem is in the linkage. If there is no cap on it, somebody turned it in a little too far. Back it off 1/2 turn and you should be good. The screw is 6 mm, the locknut is 13 mm. You may have to speed the idle up a little after adjusting on this unless the idle is already too fast.
