How much HP on stock tranny with VB/TC

Just wondering how much HP you guys are pushing through stock trannies other than the TC, and VB, and billett shafts if you have them. Also what year truck, and how many miles on tranny? Are you happy with it? Just bored .

Eric

Im guessing around 280hp /700tq here. More soon hopefully

On the poll; I meant to do it like this. If the mods want to change it, id appreciate it:
1- 250-300hp
2- 300-350hp
3- 350-400hp
4- 400+hp

Yes Blue; I figured you'd be one of the first to post Ill even let you vote for 400hp, even though you are a whole 2hp shy of that John Rodriguez must have gotten a built Chrysler test mule tranny fromt he factory to hold up like it has

Actually he lost 2nd gear the other day but the genius is still driving it. He says he wraps out first gear, hits the lock up switch, and keeps on going. And of course I'd be the first to post. I live on this site. I think I'm gonna move in with Jack just so I can be closer to the site.

On my fresh stock rebuild I with about 20k on it I was probly in the 350hp range with constant Abuse. i mean almost daily burnouts and everything when I just put the 370s in but since then I have stepped up to a full goerends tranny minus the shafts and will never look back. But suprisingly the stock tranny never slipped at all even with stock tc.

I think these trans are stronger than we give them credit. Especially with a little higher line pressure.

Yep.Thats how I feel too... A tc, and VB(even just a VB as bigblue knows) makes these transmissions MUCH better.

After rebuilding my 47RE, I could really see the effects of letting the truck idle in park. I almost always start and warm up in neutral, but I bought the truck with 45K on the clock and it was pretty appearant that the PO spent a fair amount of time idling in park. I ended up having to replace the OD piston retainer due to wear. However, with the rebuild and new VB w/ modified manual valve, it will now circulate oil in park so it's less of a concern.
