How much DOES my truck weigh?

Its a 2000 3/4 ton quad cab, single rear wheel.
I'm looking for a new camper, and all the weight police are telling my to "do the math"
My total weight available is 8800 lbs., so if the truck weighs 6000 lbs, I have 2800 left over for a camper, I think...

I'm guessing that the Curb Weight of your truck should be right around 6000lbs - 6500 lbs. 2WDs are not nearly as heavy a 4WD.

I'm at 6920 lbs. with a full tank of fuel, empty. With my camper loaded on, ready to go camping I'm at 9880 lbs. Now that doesn't include the weight of the trailer loaded with the quads, race fuel, fire wood and misc. items. At that point I'm about 13,000 to 14,000 lbs or so.......

My truck weighs right around 7k lbs. His is a 3/4 ton, but he is also loaded. Mine is a bare bones truck, so I'm gonna bet they are gonna be pretty close to each other.

Or better yet, pull onto any state truck scales. They will know why your there....and it's free, around here anyway!

Weight

My 01 is basically the same as yours, scaled 6540 with me(250) and full fuel tank.Remember to add weight of all passengers that will be with you and any tools, etc. Best bet is to load truck and scale it then you will have best info.Do not let the irritating weight police bother you that much but don't get carried away either.

Why don't you weigh it? In my part of Oregon, the state leaves the truck scales turned on, so I can just pull drive on, and get a quick weigh. Also, the local dump, which is a transfer station, weighs you before and after dumping, and charges the weight difference, I just ask what the second measurment was. Finally, if you are in a larger city, go to the Cat scales at the truck stop, and pay for a weight. Then you know for sure.
