How Much Does Your Truck Weigh??

I ran my truck across some certified CAT scales today just to see what it weighs. With a full tank of fuel, me, my wife, my 10 month old and a diaper bag it weighed exactly 7400 pounds. I was suprised by this because I seem to recall the shipping weight listed on the sticker as 6,492 pounds.

So, how much does YOUR truck weigh??

Also, how do you find the GCVR on these trucks. I found the sticker that shows the GVWR (9,900 lbs) and the axle ratings, but I haven't found anything that shows the GCVR (how much trailer it can pull). Anyone know?

With a quarter tank my chain and rigging boxes empty my cab emptied out ( yes even the CB ) and one of the batteries MIA I can get down to about 6750 lbs.

But with full gear, me, my suit case, all my magazines (waiting for concrete to dry can be very boring), a full tank, and both my batteries I weigh in at 8500 lbs.

I'm over 11,000 with my 6x12x5 dump trailer when I get weighed at the landfill don't know just the truck but I thought around 5500-6000 but I am a 3/4 ton cc LB and I usually have tools and ladders and stuff but that weight is minimal

Do you guys just go to any weigh station and weigh, or what? I am curious to see what my front weighs with the plow on. How much does it cost?

I stopped in a truck top that had a certified CAT scale and weighed here. Cost me $8.

If you do it, here's one thing I learned that I didn't know (first time across the scales) until after I'd already paid. The scales are broken up into either 4 or 5 different sections that weigh independently. If you pull all the way up so that your front wheels are on the front section and your back wheels are on the second section then when you get the print out it will tell you the weight on each axle and the gross weight. Me not knowing this, I put all four wheels on the first section, so all I have is the gross weight. Next time I'm up that way I'll try it again so I can see how the weight is distributed.

3300# front axle, 2320 rear. Total 5620#. That's me and 30 gallons of fuel. Nice to be light.

I got ya all beat. My 03 3500, 4x4, DRW, quad cab, HO/48re, with my 9' steel flatbed with underbody boxes, front bumper replacement, and side steps weighed 9,250 lbs. with me and my wife in it. Now don't make a joke about my wife being heavy cause she only weighs 110 lbs.!
