how does a b-1 compare to a sp66 or 64

Looking for a turbo now with the 200hp sticks, my hx35 wont even clear it so its going to stay parked until the turbo arrives! Im looking at a B-1 steroid and wondering how it will work with my mods.

you will need a minumum of a 66 turbo to even think about clearing those injectors. i have a set of 170hp sticks and with just injectors alone, i can barely clear them up with my SPS64/14. turn the boxes on and forget about it. thats why i had to go out and buy a turbo in a bottle.

My buddy is running 200hp injectors, drag comp, and smarty with a 64/14. At full fuel he's still hitting 1800* egt's at 52psi of boost and the smoke never ever clears. Ever.

yeah see i am running 170 witha 64 and i peg my 1500 guage in a matter of 2 to 3 seconds so i am affraid of how high it really is. dont really matter as i never leave it there long, just for racing the 1/4.

looks like I need a 66. whats the difference between the sledpuller and prostreet? Also, I tow a Jeep wrangler and a 25' boat (maybe 8k loaded), would a 12 or 14 be better for my set-up?

Igot a sledpuller 66 a comp and some 200 sticks and i wouldnt even think of towing. Empty up sligh grade is constantly at 1000 +, i mean like a 1- 2 % grade only. Any big mountains arund here i have to go over in 3rd gear to keep it cool. I would say get the 12 cm housing to have a chance. Wot it stays at 1200 40+ psi but never stops smoking.

Hope you have better luck with your 66/14 that I did with a 64/14. Mine was a Holset HX-55 from 2 yrs ago, so maybe they spool a lot faster now than they did? Diesel Robs numbers sound about right, IMO, but guess your going to find out for yourself.
For what it's worth, the B-1 Steriod would be worse.
With an automatic mine was one laggy puppy.

Good Luck!

the sps, sp, silver bullet etc turbos now are light years ahead of the hx-55. this silver bullet 66 I have now would blow the 55 away in spool and cooling.

id love to see what it was like with some real mach injectors. my little DDPs spool it like there is no tomorrow so im sure with good injectors it would be insane!
