How does this turbo compare to others?

This is an ebay jewel for sure. Listing says it is a "real" B1,

What size compressor and turbine and housing is this comparable to in the HTT line up of s 300 based turbos?

Either those are some small feet or its a big turbo

That is a quickspool b-1 which is a 62 inducer with a clipped turbine from what I've read. Hohn did a good thread about them a couple years ago if you want to do a search. Getblown5.9 ran a full b-1 at 500 hp before getting his SB.

Last I saw a b-1 in the dtr classifieds it was listed for 850, so 550 doesn't seem bad. Come to think of it, didn't the orginal Big Blue run a ksb-1?

I believe Big Blue did run a Ksb-1 at first, than a PS 62 or SPS 62, can't remember.

Well, that turbo had a "casting flaw", the housing inlet was "too thin" and was cracked. The seller claimed that the crack had not gotten any bigger, but who knows how much DP was/is leaking out of that crack.

It went for 565 + 50 to ship, but I don't think it would have been a keeper.
