HO vs SO pump

Alright so i am hoping that replacing my Apps will solve my current problem however inform me incase that does not fix the problem what are the advantages and disadvatages of an HO vs SO pump?

I beleive an SO is better for performace upgrades but i cant remeber why and i couldnt find anything in my searches.

THanks

Hmm, so in my 300hp set up what should i be getting if and when i have to replace my vp44. Also i have a fuel only box that i plan on installing some time in the near future so with that in mind what should i be looking at.

Thanks ROb

if you don't plan on going much over 350-400hp ( which is hard to stop once you get the bug) then get the one that is the cheapest, but if you want to take it to the max or if you have a feeling that you might get into the higher hp then go with the SO and it has been said that the SO will even out perform hrvp44 in the higher hp app.

The SO pump has bigger plungers in it than the HO pump, so it will flow more fuel.

With the SO pump, you'll pick up more top-end with the larger fueling boxes. But you lose some bottom end vs. the HO pump. Something like a Smarty or other fueling mod that adds more low-end helps make up the difference.

If you're never planning to go past 350-400, then you could get by with the HO pump. But if you want to go past, I'd switch to the SO so you can get max benefit out of any higher hp fueling boxes.
