Help me hit 13s or 14s PLEASE
Like the title says can you all help me hit 13s or 14s in the quarter mile i have a 1998 dodge ram 2500 12V 4x4 auto..odometer is at 170XXX, and as of mods i have a k&n intake, 6" stacks, no fuel plate, and tapped turbo wastegate..also i just recieved my billet valve body from goerend but havn't installed it....also im getting a 3k gsk kit in by next week what else do you all reccommend i use to hit the 13s or 14s...thanks alot for all your help
I'm no 12 valve expert but I'll give it a shot. You'll have to do more then that to make you tranny last boosted 4x4 launches. A 62 or 64 turbo, big injectors, delivery valves and maybe valve springs?
You're tranny has too much wear at 170k. The valve body alone isn't going to hold any power. You need to step up and get a complete trans. 4wd launches you're gonna need billet shafts too or you'll break.
For power, DDP4's are great, and a 62/12 or 62/13 turbo.
I would put a plate back in, like a #5. I've tested the no plate thing on a few trucks on the dyno, and power went down on all. The trucks all seemed to make the most power with a plate installed 3/4 of the way forward.
That's easy high 13's
