turbo questions

eventually I want to upgrade my turbo (still have stock HY) I was wondering about the intake tube. Right now I have a BHAF with the factory tube down to turbo when I get a new and bigger turbo will the factory intake tube fit on the aftermarket turbo. I have been reading on here alot and was thinking of PDR HX40, PDR super S300,or BD super B single. Which turbo do you recomend I should get *note i am planning on doing injectors also and would like to match turbo thinking mach 2 or mach 3 thanks for any info.

All of the turbos listed have the "stock" 4" inlet piping and your inlet tube will fit any of those units.

Just to muddy the water, how about a Garrett? That may be my next move.

Uhh, well... err... . If I had all those answers I would have one.. Seriously though I have been looking at Turboresource.com for one, but I have to hammer out the model number I need. There are alot of different units to choose from and they aren't as cheap as an HX40. Somewhere around $1600 is what I have been hearing.

Tom at turboresource was good to deal with, and had the best prices I could find. I'd look at the 3788 for either rigs. They don't seem to make the same power as their 'equavilent' turbos from HTT or II, but they should spool a ton quicker. I know Andy (Hammer) has yet to break 500 hp with his 3788, and he's throwing lots at it. Should do it on a 24v though. Tom puts an HX40 discharge v-band on his turbos. Garrett's stock piece necks down and is quite restrictive.

my HTT 64/71/14 spools for me just fine .. not quite as quick as the stocker but my egts droped bout 300 degrees (stock turbo would peg 1500 but was probably higher then that since i dont have a gauge that goes beyond that)as for power.. well i dont have a local dyno so idk but based on the seat of the pants feel i definetly gained some hp n torque
