I have Silverstar headlight bulbs now and they are brighter than the cheapies I have always used before but they aren't as bright as I would like. I can turn day into night with my mods why can't I turn night into day with my headlights? lol I don't want pure blue but a blueish tint would be nice, I think I would order it with 8000k bulbs if that is my choice, MAYBE 10000k. I need to ask my friend what he had in his corvette before he sold it IMO I don't think it looks ricey at all, even then if it makes the nightime visibility better I couldn't care less.

I'd say stick with 6000k to 8000k. 8000k is pretty much straight blue. If you just want a bluish tint then get 6000k. 10,000K is purple. Very dim as well. Are they even brighter than halogens? lol...

Geno's garage has some of these that should do the trick. Your driving lights (low beams) stay on when the high beams are on. You want light?? This is the rig:

also, from previous reading i think theres a 2V drop from the battery to our headlights and there is a relatively simple relay mod to get all the juice directly to the headlights to make them brighter.

maybe rather than trying to buy brighter bulbs, fix the weaker link first??

i havent done this mod...yet. but plan to one of these days.

i was doing some searching on this site about getting brighter lights and i stumbled across a few good threads BUT i know there was some 1st gen stuff i got into so i cant say with 100% confidence it applied to 2nd gens. i could be getting confused with the sport headlight conversion and needing a relay for the sake of having 4 bulbs not 2.

let me do some searching and see what i can find again...

Dr. Evil,
heres an old one that youre in ...https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...adlights+relay

1.5V (not 2V) drop...https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...adlights+relay

another...https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ad.php?t=81709

ive ran across these threads in the past but had to find them again using "headlights relay" in the search function to find them again.

i havent done the relays yet but plan to at some point...
