I went and did it
Yup, I couldn't take being "stock" any longer. Went and bought an edge EZ off of ebay. I sure wish I could bullet proof my tranny first, but I'm an impatient little bugger . Should be here in a few days. Anyone know if there is a significant difference between an older ez and the newer ones (not that it matters now). and heres a crazy idea I had; how about putting a two way rocker switch on the connectors, so I could switch between level 1 and 3? from in cab ??

I have an Edge EZ. They work great. No worries about the transmission. I pull a 9000# RV through the mountains and have had no issues at all. It's a good product.

I pull quite a bit as well, so I am glad to hear my tranny may not hate me as much as I worried it would. I change the fluid regularly and adjust the bands, so hopefully my preventative maintence will help me through the "heavy right foot" period with the new box, until I can get in touch with Dave at G.B.
