Guages are in the new truck
Guages are in the new truck
Thanks, Rod, at Wilcat Diesel. All the parts came in last week, thanks to Rod, and I put everthing in yesterday. It took 12 hours since I take my time and look before I leap, but everything is in and working very well. The most difficult piece was to get the pillar mount replacement screw back into the threaded hole, but it finally went. Pyro installed pre-turbo was probably the easiest. Turbo replacement bolt from Piers was the most difficult due to the fuel rail being so close to the manifold bolt it removed to place it in - ended up having to disconnect that one injector rail to move it out of the way. Fuel pressure guage was not a problem either, ounce I figured out I could access the banjo bolt from the wheel well on the driver side. The most persistent problem was finding the instrument cluster lamp dimmer wire in the headlight switch to tie the gauge lamps into it. All done and looks and work fine. Thanks again Rod, and I'm glad I didn't have to leaave you any phone message Saturday.

Grampa,

Did your gauges come in a blue sheep wool box like mine? Got it hanging on the wall to throw darts at it.

MissedAgainBob, I wondered what all that blue stuff was packed in the box........I guess that is why they have all those blue sheep - to grow their own box packing material..
