Got Compliments on Rip's Exhaust Today

Hauled some phone poles for a buddy today, and had the windows and the slider open. He couldn't believe the sound, said it sounded like a tractor trailer. Oh yeah! And he drives a Ford.

Poor fella got that 'I bought the wrong truck' feeling. Or, wrong engine, to be exact. You just CAN NOT BEAT the sound of an inline 6 turbo diesel. The powersmoke has blahblah horsepower and the d-max has a blah speed auto this year....I wouldn't give up all non air conditioned lumber wagon regular cab headliner delete vent delete carpet delete 491,000 mile 152 horsepower of my six shooter for another brand X if it meant I had to give up the SOUND

Personally though, the only brand that i really rag on is ford, we have had some bad experiences with them in the past, I drive a friends duramax around a good amount and it is a fast little truck, and pretty nice too, but personally I think it is too quiet when you wind it up, and I just cant hear that turbo whine that I love to hear lol. Still is a nice lil truck though.

I'm a chevy guy. If I was buying a gasser it'd be a chevy. Only bought a dodge because of the cummins
I just pry everynight that when I walk out to it in the mornings after a hard rain it's still there and not a pile of rust with the cummins laying on the ground
