I went to a couple of muffler shops to see about installing a free flowing muffler on my 93 5.9. And one of the shops said they could get a 3" Glass Pack. We use the truck to travel in when we pull our camper. Other then that is stays in the garage. I don't mind some exhaust noise, but I don't want it to be rumbling inside the cab...My question is, would a 3'' glass pack work? ??? The glass pack is about 30" long and 3" straight through. I would think it should give some tone to the truck, but would it knock out the droon sound? The shops can get regular straight through truck mufflers but the glass pack is about $45.00 compared to $67.00 and up...

 

I'm getting the ideal here that this hasn't been done before. Guess maybe I'll be the first to try it....

Thanks Monty! That what I was looking for. By the way, Last road trip out. we ran up to North Georgia. We were not towing anything and only using the LP on Grades. I average 21 mpg....Not by for a 5.9 dually!
