Gauges finally
Gauges finally
Finally ordering Isspro gauges:FP, EGT, Boost, Trans. Temp. 3 on the pillar and one to the right of the radio. If money permits I wanted to order the Deeper trans pan. Would this be a good idea??? Is it a necessity right now??? Thanks
Tayloe08,
It's a great idea but I woudl wait till I had the gauges installed and found out by towing if I needed it first. You might find that your trans temps are Ok with the weights you tow and save some money for other needed mods etc. If you decide to get one give us a call we stock all the PML pans, way less cost and the same fluid cooling capacity as the more expensive pans out there. Call us if you have any questions etc.

I run a 0-30 psi FP. My boost is 0-50 but I doubt I'll see 50 psi anytime soon. A 0-60 will indicate around the 12 o-clock position when you start adding mods and it'll be easier to see at a glance since you'll be running full chat and don't want to have to be studying a gauge too close under those conditions

I just got off the phone with DPPI and gauges are on the way!!!! I should have the ISSPRO Boost, Trans Temp, Pyro and FP w/o the regulator here by the weekend. Bad thing is I have to work all weekend. With that said I have time to make sure I have all connectors and hoses to begin the next week without having to stop and go to the store. Could anyone help me with a check list to make sure I will have everything I will need? Any tricks or tips for the install?
I'd throw in a needle valve for 2 reasons:
1. Safetly issues- a simple way to shut off fuel into the cab incase of a leak (which will be highly unlikely if you take your time and do a good job).
2. To prevent the "buzzing" sound that comes from the fp gauge itself from excess air in the lines (lp and ip pulsating).
The night before you do the install, get all of your new goodies and line them up (or hook'em up) on the floor in the order of how they are going to be in the truck. Makes life simple and all you have to do is grab them and install them in the same order. Just a hint from experience.
