Gauges
Well my new gauges came in and they looked like something out of a kaliediscope, colors everywhere on the face so I sent them back. I am now looking at the issopro and diprocol gauges (pyro, boost, and fuel psi). Which of these is better? Best place to buy? Easiest way to install the pyro without removing the turbo? Thanks.
I love my ISSPRO's. They are my 3rd set and by far my favorite. Install your pyro pre turbo and just put a lot of grease on the tap and drill bit and go slow. Once done with that run a magnet down the hole until you no longer pull any shavings out.
i bought my isspros from www.dieselmanor.com, the kit came with every thing you need pillar, guages, wiring, probe every thing all the way to zipties, they really hook you up.
I got the Dipricol from Diesel Performance Parts, they are great looking gauges. See my thread https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=102309
You can buy a boost bolt, if you did not know, which will eliminate drilling the intake horn and ease installation. They price matched what I searched and found elsewhere..can't wait to get them in the truck!!

Just curious what it was that you sent back?
I have Isspros I got from www.citydiesel.com they did not come with all the wiring that some do, but I actually wanted to do that myself. It was eveything as advertized, and I have been very happy with the gauges.

I'm running AutoMeter, but if I did it again it would be Isspro.
BlueDevil,
The Isspro's are a very very close match to the stock dash, the DiPriocl's are very (only 1 very) close. The DI's use a stepper motor in the pyor so the reaction and accuracy is as good as it gets, not that the Isspro isn't but it will react slower like all the standard pyro's have for years. The DI's have 100% LED lighting, which really makes them look sharp at night and you can get a built in install harness that has individual dimmer circuits for each gauge to tune them to the brightness you want.
It's a toss up, either one will do the job you just need to decide which looks and or has the features you want.

critical gauges to have?
Lookin at what would be the most useful/critical gauges to install when I add additional mods.
I'm thinking EGT and Fuel Pressure. Not sure what real value a boost gauge will provide me.
Not going to do a trans or diff temp because I don't tow or haul, and the trans is fairly well built up now (see sig, and with a 21 qt capacity too), I think it would be a waste of gauge real estate.

I have white faced, blue numbered Isspro Enhanced Visibility gauges, and I love them. Had them a few years now, and not a single problem. I have also put in 3 different sets for buddies(2 of them the regular black faced), and not had a single problem from any of them. I bought mine from www.dieselmanor.com as did 2 of my buddies. I just bought the gauges and did the wiring myself, but my buddy bought the kit, and it comes with everything you need to hook them up. Id say just pick the ones you like best, but I love my Isspro's

I have the Isspro EV series black guages with red needles.
I'm very happy with them. The engineer at Isspro even had a lengthy converstion with me on the phone before I ordered the guages. They will custom build a guage for you if you want, like changing pointer color. I wound up just getting normal ones though.
I bought through Scheid Diesel.
