Fuel Pump Questions

I have the bullydog fuel pump installed on my truck and would idle around 23psi and about 14psi WOT , I was getting on the freeway yesterday and lost fuel for about 2 seconds. My fuel pressure now idles at about 18 psi and at WOT drops to 0 psi. I can hear my aux. pump pumping before I start it, is my stocker shot? How can I test it?

Sound like your stock LP is dead, change it out and do the filter while in there.

Is the pump in the tank on a 98.5 or up by the engine?

Talking

Unless you let the dealer change your pump it should be on the engine right behind the fuel filter. If the dealer retrofitted it then your pump might be in the tank.
here is a good site and a pic of your engine.

Sounds about right for the stock LP by itself. I'm sure if it should be more someone will chime in. I have the Bully Dog fuel management system with the stock LP still running and i get 23idle and 15wot.

Get a mechanical FP gauge. It sounds like the sender is at least part of your problem. A stock pump should be idling around 14-15psi. Time to upgrade your fuel system, so you won't be posting similar posts in the not-too-distant future.

Congrats on the family! Yeah, it's all about the kids this time of year. I've got three of my own, well, one you can call a kid, the other two are well on their way to making their own way ... boy, doesn't time fly! And I know about the b-days too. My two youngest are at the beginning of the year ... never ends!
