Fuel Pressure Gauge recommendation needed
#1
What aftermarket gauges should I install?
Just bought a 97 4x4 with manual transmission. The truck will be used mostly on weekends to haul a couple horses up the mountain to go riding. I know I need a fuel pressure gauge because I'm going to convert to biodiesel, so I'm going to clog a few fuel filters, and want to know when it's time to put in a new filter. I won't be doing the work myself. Spyder3634 recommended a boost gauge and exhaust temperature gauge as well. I don't know much about diesels or engines so I don't know what these gauges will tell me.
What do y'all recommend, and why? (Specific mfr. and models would help, too.)
(I will probably have exhaust brakes installed sometime soon, but will hold off on any other mods until I see how the truck feels as is. The trailer and horses combined are under 6,000 lbs.)
